Call To Order

Booster meeting was called to order at 7:02pm.   A motion was made by Debbie Doolin to accept October’s meeting minutes as written.  Motion approved by Gwen Hickey.  Motion carried.    

 

 

 

Financial Report

Overall we’re doing well.   $40,000 in the bank – most of this money is within student accounts for the New York trip. 

 

Jeff Elson made the motion to approve the financial report; Sharon Reyes seconded the motion – Motion carried.

 

 

 

Thank You

Thank you to Bill & Gwen Hickey for pressing the issue for the marquee messaging.   The students deserve the recognition and now their accomplishments are publicly recognized on the board.  

 

Thanks to all the parents who have volunteered in so many ways throughout Marching Season

 

 

Programs

 

The commemorative programs for this year’s final football game are being reprinted to include

the band’s picture

 

 

 

Open Issues

New York Update

·          December payments are due by 12/10

·          Mandatory meeting for parents of students and adults chaperones going to New York will be held on Thursday 11/29 @6:30pm

·          Post cards will be sent home with students (students will sign for notice) to remind parents of this meeting

 

Band Fees   (Uniforms, instrument rental, etc.)

·          Fees were due in September – this money goes to the county

·          Fundraising Fees (covers extras – music, etc.) due in December

 

 

 

New Business

Special Event Chaperone Procedures
Tami Garner reviewed the proposed special event chaperone procedures.   Proposal outlined a lottery selection process for volunteers who had chaperoned a minimum number of events throughout the school year.   Additional discuss will be held before the final procedures are put into place. 

 

Dee Lee provided a sign-up sheet for parent interested in chaperoning a special event. 

 

 


 

 

 

Announcements

 

Concert date change  -   New date:  December 18th

Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser will be held to help defray the cost of trip tickets.  Information will be sent out after Thanksgiving.   Volunteers will be needed to help cook, setup/clean-up, bring dessert, etc. 

 

Disney Events

        1/28/07:   Parade /  Day in Park

        February (Date to be determined)  -  clinical w/ Disney musicians.
